Tampa Bay Stores Open On 4th Of July

Stores open on 4th of July. As we celebrate America's birthday this holiday weekend, you may have forgotten a few items or run out of ice or beer. Are the stores open on the 4th of July? We have a list of the stores open on 4th of July.

It's always a good idea to double check that the place you are heading to is open as each location may be different from the rest. But in the Tampa Bay area, these are the places that have listed they will be open this Thursday July 4th. So if you run out of mixers for your drinks or need more chips or a few frozen pizza's, there are plenty of places that you can go to find those last minute items.

CVS and Walgreens will also be open on July 4.

Target: Open regular hours. Most Target locations close at 10 p.m.

Trader Joe’s: All locations will be open until 5 p.m.

Whole Foods: Most stores are open on July 4. The retailer recommends customers look up their local store location for holiday hours.

Publix: Publix stores will be open regular hours, but pharmacies will be closed. Most locations close at 10 p.m

Walmart: Both Walmart stores and Walmart Neighborhood Market locations will be open regular hours, meaning most stores will close at 11 p.m.

Winn-Dixie: Winn-Dixie stores will be open regular hours on July 4, but pharmacies will close early.

I was just in Publix a few days ago and they have a ton of BOGO deals right now for your long holiday weekend. It's nice when you can find really good sales before the holidays. Plus they have all sorts of cakes and cookies with the 4th of July theme. If you need plates, napkins and other small decos, most grocery stores will carry that as well.

I can't think of anything more American than a hot dog eating contest. Armature Works in Tampa is hosting a limited competition starting at 6:30 p.m.. Spots are first come first serve, so if you want to show off your glizzy eating skills, be sure to get there early! The winner will take home the championship title which includes a $500 gift card, the championship belt, as well as bragging rights. Second and third place winners will each take home $100 Gift Cards and all competitors receive a branded T-shirt.

It's not like a championship boat parade but it's the next best thing! The parade route will be similar to our holiday light boat parade but will include a Water Ski Show to kick off the celebration and a blessing station. Boats will be decorated in red, white and blue and compete for the most patriotic boat!

Boat Parade Arrival at Sparkman Wharf – 7:30 PM
Blessing of the Fleet will occur when boats cross finish line at Sparkman Wharf

Bluey is joining Skate World for a special 4th of July celebration skate! There will be games, a special (indoor safe) 4th of July celebration, and special meet and greets with Bluey! Admission is $11 and skate rentals are $5.

Kick of your July 4th morning with a one-mile fun run followed by a Flag Ceremony with Boy Scout Troop 12 and Civil Air Patrol. The parade begins at 10:00 with a cake auction fundraiser at the Lutz Civic Center just after the parade ends.  (101 W. Lutz Lake Fern Rd., Lutz)
