Jason Momoa at Luekens Liquors In Tampa Draws A Huge Crowd

Jason Momoa, like many celebrities and actors, has partnered with a liquor Is promoting an alcohol brand. The Aquaman star partnered with Blaine Halvorson to create a new vodka brand, Melie Vodka. I guess you could call Jason “Vodka Man” now.

Jason and Blaine went traveled far and wide, from Antarctica to Greenland, to find the right water source to produce the vodka. They finally found a source in Montana. Jason explained, “It’s one of the cleanest water sources in Montana and there’s only two on this continent where the EPA does not have to test it or filtrate it anymore. It is so pure and clean.”

Jason advises consumers to sip Melie Vodka warm to fully experience it. A bottle will cost you somewhere between 20 and 24 dollars.

This weekend Jason came to town to promote his vodka and also perform with his band at Jannus Live. We had a chance to speak with him on the MJ Morning Show (thanks to Chris Jallo of Luekens Wine and Spirits). He filled us in on the new Mindcraft movie he’s a part of that will be coming out soon. He says Jack Black (who’s part of it, as well) is his spirit animal and said the movie is going to be amazing.

At Leukens today, more than 3,000 people showed up to meet Aquaman and scope out his vodka. Luekens put on a heck of an event today accommodating everyone.

Following the event, Jason went to Tequila Daisy in St. Petersburg to do some impromptu bartending with Halvorson. Saturday night he’s performing at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg with his band, Oof Tatata.
