Tampa Bay Businesses Providing Free Services & Meals To Those Affected By Hurricane Helene

Out hearts are with all of those in the Tampa Bay area and other states that were devastatingly affected by Hurricane Helene. In hard times like these, it's so nice to see the community and neighbors come together to help one another, it's just one of the many reasons that makes Florida strong. Many Tampa Bay businesses are teaming up to assist in relief efforts for the community and beyond. From free rides, to clean laundry and a hot meal. Here's a growing list of Hurricane Helene Relief efforts in Tampa Bay.

Tampa Restaurants Providing Meals & Relief Efforts:

Thanks to our friends at Thatssotampa for sharing this info! Oak and Ola, Willa’s, Graze 1910, Chill Bros, Supernatural Food and Wine, and Buddy Brew have partnered up to provide fresh meals for those displaced by Hurricane Helene. Below is the full schedule:

  • Monday, Sept 30 - 4pm-6pm

  • Wednesday, Oct 2 - 4pm-6pm

One of our favorite pizza spots, Madison Avenue Pizza in Dunedin was hit hard from the storm. Thankfully they did not have much damage and were able to reopen during the weekend after the storm. Now they want to give back to the community. For the week of 9/30-10/6 they will donate 100% of the revenue from their weekly pizza special to hurricane relief charities. 50% of all revenue will be going to The American Red Cross and the remaining 50% will be going to Feeding Tampa Bay.

Another favorite food truck of ours has been a huge relief for the St. Pete community. Shiso Crispy has been out since Friday providing free meals when they can. They'll be at Sterling Park in Dunedin (9/30) giving out free Bang Bang Dirty Rice until supplies last. Follow them on social media to get the latest updates:

Free PTSA Rides In St. Pete

Thousands people in the Tampa Bay area, especially Pinellas, have lost their cars due to flooding. So the City of St. Pete and PTSA are partnering to provide 2 weeks of fare-free service within St. Pete City limits. According to ABC Action News, the fare-free period will last from Monday, September 30 until Sunday, October 13 and will apply to regular bus trips that begin and end in St. Pete. Free Laundry & AC Services

With almost 40,000 residents still without power in Pinellas, City officials worked with local partners to provide free laundry services to residents.

There are currently two locations where residents can wash and dry their clothes.

  • Parking lot across from Allendale United Methodist Church
    • 3803 Haines Road North
    • Open 24/7
    • Staff available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Easy Kleen Laundromat
    • 2970 54th Avenue South
    • 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Many cooling stations have opened up around Pinellas County. These stations will provide a place for residents to cool off and charge their phones. Click HERE to see all locations.

Help With Cleanup

Pinellas County has activated the Hurricane Helene Crisis Cleanup Hotline at (844) 965-1386. The hotline is expected to stay up until October 11.

How YOU Can Get Involved

If you're one of the lucky ones who was not as affected by the aftermath of Helene, here are some resources you can use to help give back to other who lost everything. Even something as simple as going through your closet and donating old clothes could make a huge difference for some families.

  • The West Pasco Title 1 Schools Hurricane Relief Donations Drive - “All monies collected with be distributed fairly among the Title 1 elementary, middle, and high schools on the west side of Pasco,”. Click HERE for more info and to donate.
