Three Tampa Bay Nueva Cantina locations have turned into haunted dining spaces through November 2. The staff dressed up each restaurant with spooky decorations and created special drinks and dishes for the Halloween season.
"Some people like to go to Halloween Horror Nights or Howl-o-Scream. We wanted to bring that to our restaurants," said owner Raul Medina to FOX 13 News.
The bar created four spooky cocktails for Halloween. Customers can try a giant Witch Pitcher, blood-red Dracula's Sangria, or the neon-green Poisoned Apple Margarita. For those not drinking alcohol, there's a fun non-alcoholic option too.
In the kitchen, chefs turned Mexican favorites into Halloween-themed dishes. They've created a spooky version of their popular Taco Tour Platter and Nueva Sampler. The eye-catching Haunted Birria comes with an eerie, glowing green broth.
While adding these Halloween touches, the restaurants kept their traditional Mexican cooking methods the same. Each dish still uses fresh ingredients, just presented with a seasonal twist.
Spider webs hang in corners, creepy lights flicker above, and photo spots wait for pictures. The entire setup makes for a spooky dining experience.
"You're going to experience something different. You will create memories with your friends and family—and talk about it for years," Medina said.
The Halloween theme appears at three locations in the Bay area. Visitors can find the haunted restaurants in downtown St. Pete, central Tampa, and Brandon.
All spots keep their regular hours during this Halloween transformation. Want a table? Make reservations through their website at any of the three locations.
