Mama Duck stands 61 feet tall. She'll float into Coachman Park downtown from Jan. 9 through Jan. 26, bringing three weeks of activities to the waterfront.
Clearwater officials shared the news Friday. The Downtown Development Board partnered with Spa Manufacturers Inc., Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, CGS Energy, and the Hampton Inn and Suites Clearwater Beach to make this happen.
Timmy arrived early. This 10-foot duckling has been waddling around town since early December, popping up at different spots through January's end.
Want a picture? Jeep owners get first dibs on Jan. 9. One hundred five-minute slots are up for grabs at $15 each, giving drivers a clean shot with their rides next to the massive waterfowl.
The Market Marie opens Jan. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring local makers and sellers alongside a live DJ spinning tunes while families check out pet adoptions, grab fresh produce, or let kids loose in bounce houses.
Runners can sign up for the Duck Dash 5K on Jan. 11. Yellow clothes work best — bonus points for duck costumes as you race past the towering inflatable.
Kids take center stage Jan. 17 at Rubber Ducky's Birthday Bash, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with two concerts: Mr. Brad performs from 11 a.m. to noon, then Jack Hartmann hits the stage from 1 to 2 p.m. A petting zoo mingles with bounce houses, face painters twist balloons into animals, and craft stations keep little hands busy.
Scenes on the Green brings Migration to outdoor screens Jan. 23, starting at 5 p.m. and wrapping by 8 p.m.
The Duck 'N' Drive Jeep Invasion wraps everything up Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Turn It On Again — a Phil Collins tribute band — will perform while guests try axe throwing, explore touch-a-Jeep zones, grab food truck bites, sip drinks in the beer garden, or browse vendor booths. Jeep owners can register ahead to claim parking in the park or along Cleveland Street.
Timmy's schedule keeps him at Clearwater Countryside Library through Dec. 12, then Market Marie on Dec. 13, CGS Energy Dec. 15-19, and Hampton Inn and Suites Clearwater Beach from Dec. 20 through Jan. 4.
