The Tampa Bay Rays want to hear from fans about what's important for a new stadium in Tampa. They're asking fans about everything from seating and ticket prices to amenities and design.
This survey, conducted by CSL, will influence ideas for the stadium's design. Fans will be surveyed about seating preferences, how much they're willing to pay, and other needs like technology and transportation.
Fans can share thoughts on features such as family areas, shaded seating, and food options. The stadium concept is tied to a development project at Hillsborough College's Dale Mabry campus, a top choice after discussions with the team.
The survey isn't finalizing any plans, but it helps assess fan preferences before decisions are made. For years, the Rays have considered stadium options around Tampa Bay instead of Tropicana Field.
Fan feedback will be looked at along with market research. No timeline or construction budget is set yet. This survey is just one part of a complex process.
You can participate in the survey on the Rays' website; it takes about 15 minutes to finish. Click here to take the survey.
A video associated with the launch showcases seating options and season ticket offerings. This follows storms that impacted Tropicana Field in 2024, altering previous plans for a stadium in St. Petersburg.
Originally, the Rays aimed to build in the Gas Plant District, but plans have now moved to Tampa. The survey also asks about interest in luxury areas and shade features.
Public meetings will occur alongside the survey, and funding remains a significant challenge. Erik Waxler, a reporter, has been tracking the Rays' stadium efforts for over ten years, underscoring the survey's role in gathering input.
