The Tampa Bay Rays kicked off a fan vote to pick what their new road jersey will look like. "Tampa Bay" will appear on the front. On March 6, the team posted the poll on their X account and asked fans to choose among different versions of away grays.

According to Tampa Bay 28.com, the concept came about after the club played as visitors in Tampa on March 6. That game got people within the organization talking about bringing back "Tampa Bay" to their regular-season road jerseys.

Fans can cast votes through the team's X account. The poll displays several design options for what the new road uniforms might look like in future seasons.

The current road jerseys don't show "Tampa Bay" across the chest. This could mean a return to a previous design element that once appeared on the team's away uniforms.

The franchise has gone through several uniform changes since its founding. The club started play in 1998 as the Devil Rays before dropping "Devil" from the name in 2008.

No timeline has been announced for when the new jerseys might debut. The organization hasn't revealed how long voting will stay open or when results will be shared.

The move gives fans direct input on what players will wear during road games. Teams across baseball have sought fan feedback on uniform designs and other decisions in recent years — it's becoming more common.

The poll remains active on the team's social media platform. Voters must access the X account to participate.
