Talkin’ Rock with Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and Glenn Hughes and Doug Aldrich from The Dead Daisies
Dave Mustaine from Megadeth starts us out today. The new album, The Sick, The Dying…and the Dead drops on September 2nd. We talk about the record, and the circumstances making it. He tells me how Ice T ended up on a track, finding great guitarists, and the pressure of making this album. He also talks about playing Woodstock ’99 and former drummer Chuck Behler.
Then, Glenn Hughes and Doug Aldrich of the Dead Daisies were nice enough to jump on with me to discuss their upcoming album, Radiance. They’ve released three songs already, as we talked about the writing process of the record, if the pandemic played into it and more. Glenn gives us a health update, as he recently fought off Covid himself and was forced to miss some tour dates. Doug hoped on a few minutes after we started, but also talked about the album, working with Blackie Lawless from W.A.S.P. (sort of) and playing with a legend like Glenn. There are some local Detroit ties to the band, which we also discussed.
Enjoy!
