From newer classics like "Elf" to old favorites like "It's A Wonderful Life," Tampa Theatre has put out its list of films they'll show over the holiday season.

November 30: The Muppet Christmas Carol

Another free movie at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa. From 1992, Kermit is Bob Cratchit with Miss Piggy as his wife. It'll start at 7pm. Again... feel free to bring a picnic basket, blankets or lawn chairs.
December 1: Miracle on 34th Street

They're showing the classic 1947 version. Santa will be on hand before the screening at 2pm for a photo op. The movie starts at 3pm.
December 6: Bad Santa

From 2003, Billy Bob Thornton plays Santa like no one else! And if you wanna get in the "spirits," there's a bar on the corner before you walk in to Tampa Theatre.
December 8: Elf

My favorite... it's on TV constantly, but you don't often get the chance to see Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf on the big screen. Sit next to me and I'll annoy you with quoting this movie line for line from start to finish.
December 13: Black Christmas

How about some violence for Christmas? Nothing like an obscene phone call to say "Happy Holidays!" A scary Christmas movie with Margot Kidder (former Lois Lane in the 'Superman' films with Christopher Reeve). Showtime is nice and late too... 10:30pm!
December 14-15: Sing-Along White Christmas

The 1954 classic will be show at 3pm both days and for the first time, it's an audience sing-along.
December 20-23: Its A Wonderful Life

Unlike all the movies that have one showing, this one's so big it gets 6 screenings this year - December 20 at 7, December 21 and 22 at 3 & 7:30pm, and December 23 at 7:30pm.
