In their defense, my visit was on a Sunday afternoon so they were only open for a few more hours. I would have probably gone with a chocolate glazed. My grade: B. Above average for sure, but not quite superior. Datz Dough in Tampa and Jupiter Doughnuts in Largo are still my favorite two doughnuts in Florida.
I'm always a much bigger fan of a mom and pop shop over a big chain. For years, listeners have been telling me to try the doughnuts at Fray's.

Was good to finally catch them while they were open.

Seems like every time I drove through that part of town, it was when they were closed so I was excited to see the neon open sign. For years Q105 listeners told me to give them a try. So I was excited.
English Toffee was my pick.

It was good. I've had better. But it was definitely good. Moist but not too moist. Good flavor.
Strawberry sprinkles was my backup.

Pretty sure I picked this because it looks like a doughnut Homer Simpson would eat.
That apple pastry looks great.

Might try it next time. Compared to places like Starbucks, it's nice to see a pastry that doesn't cost $5.
Didn't try the croissants.

But they looked tasty. They have breakfast sandwiches you can order made with these.
The prices are definitely reasonable.

2 doughnuts and a coffee for $5 is not bad at all. I'll definitely give the place another try next time I'm in that part of town. I noticed there are 2 other locations. Are either of those better than the Pinellas Park one? Tweet me @Q105Geno.
Donut holes might have been a better choice.

That way I could have tried more flavors. Those chocolate glazed holes look pretty good.
Selection was a little limited.
