One night, we were driving home from Amalie Arena. Because the traffic was so terrible, we took a back street to get out of town and we passed by Fabrica Pizza. I loved the look of the restaurant from the outside. The whole area felt so new and made me feel like I could be in any city, not necessarily Tampa. I made a mental note that I wanted to come back and check it out.
We went to see the Frozen sing-a-long at Tampa Theatre yesterday so it was the perfect time after the show to give Fabrica Woodfired Pizza a shot! It's located in downtown at 142 South Meridian Avenue.
The magic of Fabrica Woodfired Pizza in Tampa is naturally in their woodfire oven and their hand-stretched dough. It's a Neapolitan Style experience. The servers and chefs were very friendly. Loved the music and the vibe, and the food was incredible.
We ordered a handful of items on the menu: meatballs in red sauce, a delicious burrata and tomato salad, white pizza with mushrooms and cheesy bread. Yum!
There were other delicious pizza flavors I would like to try so I will the next go-around. Tops on my list is the Verdura. The Verdura has oven-roasted broccolini, whipped ricotta, mozzarella, fresh garlic, chili flakes, E.V olive oil, fresh baby spinach. The Polpette E Pesto looks amazing. It's made with basil pesto, provolone, whipped ricotta, beef meatballs, and fresh garlic.
Plenty to try and enjoy at Fabrica Firewood Pizza in downtown Tampa!
I love meatballs across the board. How would these stack up?

I am a big fan of burrata so I had to try this salad.
Photo Courtesy of RWIt's burrata cheese served over a bed of baby arugula and grape tomatoes topped with E.V olive oil.
The dish comes wiht a little olive oil dropper.
Photo Courtesy of RWWe injected the oil into the cheese and you can see it seeping out. Yum!
