Thanks to the thousands of freestyle and old school jams fans who packed Amalie Arena Saturday night for the 2024 Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam. Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Expose, TKA, George Lamond and other dance club legends kept us on our feet all night.

Check out these incredible front row photos from Q105 photographer Thomas "TJ" Hogue of Hogue Photography. Be sure to share the pics and video you captured on social media using the hashtag #FreestyleExplosionTampa.

Nocera kicked off the Freestyle Explosion Throwback Jam with her hit "Summertime Summertime." Local favorite from Wesley Chapel, George LaMond (“Bad of the Heart”) was back on the Freestyle Explosion Tampa lineup too. He was joined by Lime (“Babe We’re Gonna Love Tonight”), Betty Dee from Sweet Sensation ("Hooked On You").

As always TKA stole the show with their crazy high-energy stage show. They performed their club anthems like "Maria," “Louder Than Love,” and “Tears May Fall.” And don’t forget K7. It’s always a highlight of the night every year for me when he does his big solo hit “Come Baby Come.”

Expose's vocals were as solid as ever as they performed their big Q105 hits include “Point of No Return,” “Come Go With Me,” “Let Me Be The One,” “Seasons Change,” and “I’ll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me).”

Lisa Lisa made her Tampa return. Her set of classics included “Head to Toe,” “All Cried Out,” and “Lost in Emotion.” And then of course it was time for the main event... Stevie B busted out all of his 80s favorites like "Spring Love," "Party Your Body" and his #1 from the 90s, "Because I Love You."

Freestyle Explosion 2025?

Fans are already asking if (or assuming) Freestyle Explosion will be back again next year. I can't say for sure, but as soon as I am told either way I'll let you know. We've been very lucky to have the show 5 years in a row. And since Amalie Arena was so packed last night, I think our chances are good. Fingers crossed!

Expose sounded great as always. The harmonies sound just like they did in the 80s.

Tampa Bay's own George Lamond performed his big hit "Bad of the Heart" but also another one of my favorites... his incredible cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'."
