(Photo by Express/Getty Images)Happy Mothers Day to all the Q105 moms. The 80s had some of the best TV moms. Reality TV shows weren't really a thing yet and we weren't bombarded with singing competitions. Here were my 5 favorites.
#5: Marion Cunningham

Marion Ross was one of only 3 characters on Happy Days to stay on the show from start to finish. And you've gotta admire a TV mom that stood up and was tired of just being a stereotypical housewife. Many TV shows back then didn't like to be so bold.
#4: Elyse Keaton

Another TV mom with a strong career. Meredith Baxter-Birney's character on the show was a successful architect who married her college sweetheart.
#3: Clair Huxtable

Phylicia Rashad played another successful professional (spotting a trend here?) as a lawyer. Her character is said to be based on Bill Cosby's wife Camille.
#2: Angela Bower

Another strong woman of the 80s, Judith Light's character was the boss. Although I have to admit, I was a much bigger fan of Mona.
Honorable Mention: Carol Brady

Yeah yeah I know. The Brady Bunch wasn't an 80s show, but I was an 80s kid so I didn't see the show until it was in syndication. As an only child, the Brady's were my brothers and sisters. And Florence Henderson was the best TV mom ever.
Honorable Mention: Marge Simpson

Another show that didn't fall under the 80s era, so I'll have to make Marge an honorable mention. Pretty sure we can all agree she was the TV mom with the best hair.
#1: Peg Bundy

While a teenage Geno spent most of the time on Married With Children waiting for scenes with Kelly Bundy, Katey Sagal was awesome as Peg. Her comedic timing was the best. She also inspired my work ethic.
