Roxanne’s 2020 Review In Photos

A fresh, empty 2020 calendar to fill with amazing events…Whoops.
We were all living the same news headlines and collective pandemic tragedy together, but we still operated in our own separate bubbles. Sometimes we felt safe there, other times trapped and bored. I went through my phone and picked out some of the highlights and happy moments from the year.

JANUARY: We were feeling good in Miami at a Super Bowl party.

But we didn't realize that would be our last trip of 2020.
FEBRUARY: Happy Valentine's Day

A night out on the town with two of my three Valentine's.
FEBRUARY: I was nervous going back to work after maternity leave, but it was all good.

Meanwhile...in national news...we saw a shaky stock market and ominous reports of coronavirus cases on the West coast.
FEBRUARY: One of the last work events I participated in.

But my daughter and I had a great time.
MARCH: Trying to explain to my daughter why she can't go outside.

And we are learning new vocabulary: lock-downs and quarantines.
MARCH: Weekends are now spent Facetiming with friends we'd normally be hanging out with.

.
APRIL: Working from home is a reality now...even in radio.

It's so easy to work from home with two screaming kids. Haha.
APRIL: Happy Easter! Holidays are different now.

But at least the bunnies don't have to social distance.
MAY: My daughter was featured on Tampa Bay's Morning Blend.

She starred in one of their "Healthy at Home" cooking segments.
MAY: A little staycation for Memorial Day.

Boy, did it feel good to get out of the house, even though it was just to Clearwater Beach.
JUNE: Hosting on Tampa Bay's Morning Blend.

Learning how to do it all virtually.
JUNE: The show must go on.

Lots of credit to Dawson Dance Academy in finding a safe way for the dancers to perform and still have a recital.
JULY: Happy Independence Day

Feeling free outside at the beach again. Remember the simpler times when all you had to worry about was a little flesh-eating bacteria in the ocean?
JULY: Always a favorite...

Boating with Bobby Rich. He's so good with kids. My girls LOVE him.
AUGUST: Loving the outdoors even in the heat.

A family field trip to Humming Bird Gardens.
AUGUST: On the other hand...

WHEN will this hot, long summer ever end? My mood: Wine and unwashed hair.
SEPTEMBER: Back to school hair-do's and wow!

I've tapped into a hidden talent. I'm a super creative braider.
SEPTEMBER: Looking for better, brighter days to come.

.
OCTOBER: New friends and co-workers!

It's kind of funny...2020 wasn't a year where you reached out and developed new relationships...no time and/or no place to meet and foster the friendship. But I've gotten to know these three over the last three months. I LOVE being a part of the MJ Morning Show.
OCTOBER: Happy Halloween!

This is funny....the photo of the baby inside the pumpkin is my older daughter (photo is from 2017). The photo on the left is my new baby. Parents learn the hard way...how NOT to get your baby stuck in a pumpkin. Don't put them in there to begin with!
NOVEMBER: More fun hair-do's...

And I'm loving them so much, I think I'm going to do a separate photo gallery (if you're interested) dedicated to "Evelyn Jade's Braids."
NOVEMBER: Happy Thanksgiving!

These kids are heavy. Is this year over yet?
DECEMBER: Happy Holidays

Messy pandemic hair, don't care...even though it's for the family Christmas card.
