Summer Adventures In Chicago

I've always loved visiting the Windy City as a non-parent. One of my favorite cities (especially in the summer). I love the food, comedy, architecture and nice people. But now as a mom, I've realized it is a GREAT city for kids to visit. So much to see and do, and my daughter loves the tall buildings.
Our visit to the Chicago Children's Museum was our favorite.

It really inspires learning and creativity.
The Sound Effects Room was quite a hit.

It's a sound playground!
Play It Safe

This was part of the Chicago Fire Department safety exhibit.
Fire Safety Doll House

My daughter says, "I wanna go in there."
It's actually an educational doll house.

It teaches kids how to escape from their house and what to do in case there's a fire.
What kid doesn't love dinosaurs?

Mine! She says, "Me no like dat. Go away, dinosaur."
Art Studio

She loved this clay but, of course, called it Play-Doh.
This was called the Skyline Area.

Bring out the builder/architect in your little one. This was her FAVORITE play area.
And she's obsessed with cranes!

This is what happens when you spend this first two years of your life visiting job sites with Daddy. #DaddysGirl
Gotta cool down after all that activity.

We kept her in the stroller.
Time for more adventures...

I think this may have been her favorite because her favorite song "Wheels On the Bus" came to life.
All dressed up!

Ready for a night on the town and more big city fun!
