BizJournals.com reports that there will be more direct flights to London from Tampa starting in March. Norwegian Air will have flights 3 days a week to London’s Gatwick Airport. British Airways also has non-stop flights to Gatwick from TIA. They say Tampa’s international traffic has almost doubled since 2011. Tampa added Amsterdam recently, which is a big hub for connecting flights within Europe. A lot of other cities are on travelers’ wish list. TIA says “destinations on its radar” include Manchester (England), Dublin, Bogota (Colombia), Lima (Peru) and Mexico City. Back to those London flights, don’t assume the price is out of your budget. Flights have been pretty cheap lately. I recently flew round-trip for less than $500! Accommodations over there in Europe aren’t so cheap though. Here are some pics from my trip.
