We all have that one restaurant we love to go to where the meal is almost an afterthought. It’s all about that fresh bread the server brings to the table. Here are some of our favorite spots gathered from my friends on the Geno Ate Tampa Facebook page.
Vito & Michael's Gourmet Pizzeria
Best known for their pizza, that bread hits the spot.
Best NY Pizza
Love those knots?
Columbia Restaurant
Before you dive into that 1905 Salad, it’s nice to have some of that authentic Cuban bread from La Segunda Central Bakery in Ybor City.
Texas Roadhouse
That cinnamon butter hits the spot! If you want to try to make it at home, it’s said to be just 5 simple ingredients: butter, honey, powdered sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Ocean Prime
At many places, you don’t want to fill up on bread before your meal. But at Ocean Prime, with their portion sizes, that’s usually not a concern for me.
Carrabba's
That dipping oil is crucial. But I tend to overdo it with Balsamic Vinegar. I love it.
Cafe Cibo in St. Pete
Honestly the food at Cibo to me isn’t spectacular. But I love their Casesar salads and their focaccia break with tomato dipping sauce.
DeVito's Italian Specialties in Tampa
That homemade focaccia!
Today for lunch I enjoyed our Salmone al Tonno.... fresh smoked salmon, arugula and tomato with a white tuna sauce on our house made focaccia.... Amazing!

That garlic bread is pretty popular.
