According to USAToday.com, nearly 25 million seats are scheduled for traveling Thanksgiving week. Then, add in the millions that will travel by car. Much of that travel is for families to get together for the holiday. However, someone had to come up with a list of the 'best' cities to go to for Thanksgiving. Wallethub.com did just that.
Here's what they based their rankings on, with each of the categories being worth a point value: Celebrations & Traditions, Affordability, Safety & Accessibility, Giving Thanks (Charity and volunteer work) and Weather Forecast.

9 Irving, TX
Irving ranked #4 for "Thanksgiving Weather Forecast"
8 Durham, NC
Ranked #8 for "Thanksgiving Weather Forecast".
7 Plano, TX
10th in weather forecast, and among the most affordable to visit.
Plano also ranked #1 on a list of "Best City in America for families!"
6 Tampa, FL
Tampa was tied for #1 in "Number of Thanksgiving Events per Capita". Also tied for #1 for "Number of Holiday Decorations Shops per Capita". Tampa also ranked #5 in "Thanksgiving Celebrations and Traditions".
