The Q105 Saturday Night Dance Party!

Saturday Nights 7pm to Midnight

Sunday, November 14 will be a really fun day on Madeira Beach! Three big favorites from the Q105 Saturday Night Dance Party will take the stage at ROC Park for “Unity Fest.” The 3 day event features lots of live music, but SNDP fans in particular will want to be there Sunday to see Tone Loc, Rob Base and C&C Music Factory.

According to their website, the R.O.C. Park Unity Fest event is a not-for-profit fundraiser for community outreach service programs that provide mental health, wellness and support for bay area veterans, families and children that are impacted by past and current events in their lives. Their goal is to bring awareness to the services available in the community.

R.O.C. Park is located at 200 Rex Place in Madeira Beach. General admission tickets for Sunday are $38.77 or you can get a VIP pass for $171.37 that gets you VIP parking, food and drinks. Tickets are available through eventbrite.com.

Here are 10 classic Q105 Saturday Night Dance Party Jams we’ve gotta hear!

  • #1: Wild Thing

Tone Loc topped the charts in 1989 with his anthem to … well, you know.

  • #2: (Everybody Dance Now) Gonna Make You Sweat

I’d imagine this means Freedom Williams is on the lineup, but we’ll never forget the vocals provided by the legendary Martha Wash on this one too.

  • #3: It Takes Two

I still know every darn word to this song.  I saw Rob in concert back in the early 90s and was standing next to some kid named Mark Wahlberg from Dorchester who I guess one day went on to become a rapper.

  • #4: Things That Make You Go Hmmmmm

    Another great C&C jam!

  • #5: Joy and Pain

An often forgotten but GREAT Rob Base jam!

  • #6: Funky Cold Media

Don’t know if they’ll be serving this at the bar.

  • #7: Here We Go Let's Rock and Roll

You forget how many hits C&C had!

  • #8: Get on the Dance Floor

One of my favorite Rob Base jams from the Dance Party USA days!

  • #9: Do You Wanna Get Funky

    Well do ya?

  • #10: I Got It Goin' On

Sunday we’ll find out if he still does 30 years later!
