There are many wonderful playgrounds in Tampa Bay. It’s hard to pick a favorite.
But here’s a list of 4 that my kids really love.
I’m featuring different types of playgrounds. For instance, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa has a large playground with plenty of equipment for kids of all ages. There’s also a splash pad and a gorgeous view of the Hillsborough River.
But then you’ve got Horsepower for Kids, which has farm animals to see and horses, of course. But don’t sleep on their playground. The kids will love it and it backs right up to a petting zoo.
Philippe Park, which is in Safety Harbor, has a huge playground with a variety play structures geared towards various ages. They also have swings and a splash pad. It’s very peaceful there looking out over the water and amongst all the beautiful tall trees.
Baybridge Park is what we refer to in our family as the “Green Park” because of the green awnings and jungle gyms. It’s in a neighborhood off of Montague in Westchase. There’s plenty of room on nearby picnic tables to host a birthday party. Also, they have an adult fitness area. And the entire park area is shaded really well.
