The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival in Clearwater ends this weekend. Here’s what’s going on to celebrate.

There will be with interactive art, a kids play zone, street performers, artisans and Sunsets at Pier 60. But here’s a rundown on the special events that will be happening over the final weekend of the Sugar Sand Festival.

  • Saturday, April 23: Free fireworks beginning at 9:30 P.M.

  • Free Sand-Sculpting Classes: Friday at 2 P.M. and Saturday at 11 A.M. and 2 P.M.

  • Clearwater Gas Speed Sand Demonstration: Saturday at 4 P.M.

    Professionals will create sand sculptures that are suggested by the crowd. They’ll have 10 minutes to create their randomly chosen subject for the sculpture.

    Here’s a sample of what the professionals have done at this year’s Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival.

  • Enjoy the Ferris Wheel: Friday and Saturday, 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. or Sunday, 10 A.M. to 9 P.M.

  • Alligator & Wildlife Discovery Center: Daily from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.

    Learn about rescued reptiles, amphibians and furry friends

  • Concerts All Weekend Long!

    Friday, April 22: Infinite Tilt (3 to 7 P.M.) and The Black Honkeys (7:30 P.M.)

    Saturday, April 23: Zack Bliss (noon to 4 P.M.), Jacob Davies (4:30 to 7 P.M.), and T.L. Jentgens (7:30 P.M.)

    Sunday, April 24: Chandler Nelms (1 to 5:30 P.M.) and Stormbringer (6 P.M.) This is for you Robby S. RIP.
