To cool down with some home-made ice cream. Here are 3 iconic Tampa ice cream spots you need to visit this summer.

Thus, I present to you my list of three really iconic ice cream places in the city of Tampa. These places are iconic because they have been serving the Bay Area for decades. The locations are not some fancy fly by night trendy ice dream stand, these are ICONIC. Now, I will have you know, that I am an expert of sorts on this matter, because I have been to each of these places at least a dozen times each over the years.  Take from me, first hand, these places live up to their iconic status.

First, I want to start with an Honorable Mention, Campbell’s Dairyland in Brandon it a great place, a very iconic place that has been serving Brandon residents ice cream and frozen treats for generations and they are certainly worth the trip. But for this list I am only sticking to the City of Tampa, so here it goes, in no particular order…

  • Bo's Ice Cream

Tampa’s iconic Bo’s Ice Cream, located at 7101 N Florida Ave. in Old Seminole Heights, is a legendary soft serve stand,  Bo’s has walk up counter service and is worth the trip. Their menu is pretty simple, meaning they’re not going to have crazy flavors. But the homemade classics are still worth it.
