Hall & Oates fans – don’t you worry. Just because John Oates won’t be on stage at The Mahaffey in St. Pete, you’ll still get to sing along with lots of the group’s classics. Todd Rundgren opens the show August 3. Here are the songs Daryl has been doing on his solo tour so far. He might switch things up for the St. Petersburg show, but most likely you’ll hear these songs in this order.

  • Dreamtime

One of those forgotten 80s gems. This Daryl Hall solo hit will bring the energy to start the show.

  • It's Uncanny

Going back to the 70s for this underrated and often forgotten Hall & Oates gem.

  • Problem With You

This one’s from Daryl’s “Laughing Down Crying” album he put out in 2011.

  • I'm in a Philly Mood

Daryl says he wrote this as a love song to the city of Brotherly Love.

  • Cab Driver

    From Daryl’s 1996 album Can’t Stop Dreaming.

  • Sacred Songs

The title track to Daryl’s first solo album. It was recorded in 1977 but it didn’t get released until three years later. The record label was said to not think the songs on the album had any chance of being commercial hits. They might have been right. None of the songs from the album hit the charts.

  • Babs and Babs

Another one from Sacred Songs, you might have seen Daryl do this one with with Guster or Ben Folds on Live From Daryl’s House.

  • Here Comes The Rain Again

Not too many covers on this setlist.  But everyone knows this Eurythmics 80s classic.  It’ll be fun to hear Daryl’s take on it.

  • Sara Smile

The group’s first big Top 40 hit – it got up to #4 in 1975.  The song is about Daryl’s girlfriend at the time who was a flight attendant.

  • I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)

This one was a #1 for 10 weeks until it was finally knocked out of the top spot by Olivia Newton-John’s hit “Physical.”  Don’t leave your seat … there are still 4 more songs to come in the encore.

  • Wait For Me

Hope you did wait for him. The encore begins with a Hall & Oates song from 1979 from “No Brain No Pain.”

  • Can We Still Be Friends

Todd Rundgren joins Daryl on stage during the encore and they do this song Todd released in 1978 about trying to make a relationship work.

  • Expressway to Your Heart

A cover of the hit by The Soul Survivors from 1967. There have been lots of covers of this one over the years by everyone from Jerry Garcia to Bruce Springsteen.

  • You Make My Dreams

The big finale.  This one’s been in commercials for everything from Dick’s Sporting Goods to KFC. The Toronto Maple Leafs even play it when they score a goal at home games.
