Zoom isn't happening quite as often as it was a year ago, but with many people still working remotely, of course, it is a part of the corporate world.

MJ discovered one interesting reason that WOMEN say they don't want to show their face (and rather, will just be heard) on a zoom call. We include it in our list below of reasons people are not popping in on video and just using audio for zoom meetings.

1. Women Don't Want To Waste Make-Up For A Silly Zoom Meeting

If you have the luxury of working from home, and then all of a sudden you find out you have to do a call and people will SEE you, that's frustrating. Especially if that means you have to take your time to fix your face. Women would rather save money (and not waste make-up) or time for a Zoom call. Speaking of "fixing your face"...

2. People Don't Want To Show Their True Annoyed Expressions On Zoom

Do you have that one co-worker who is extending the meeting with all of his/her questions? And you're thinking, "Stop talking! Let's get this over with." It seems without face-to-face (without a mask) contact, some people have forgotten how to not have "You're annoying me" written all over their face. (At least that's what one of our callers said. Again...all you have to do to avoid this, is hit that "Audio Only" button.

3. People Can Concentrate Better On The Content Of The Call When It Is Audio Only

Remember the old days when all we did was conference calls? You could sit back and take in what was being said instead of being worried about what you looked like on-camera.

4. You Can Multi-task

No one has to know that you are folding the laundry or painting your toes when you don't have your camera turned on. Hey, life is hectic. We all have to multi-task now and then.
