Fun and Upcoming Events for the Rest of May

There is exactly one week of May left. If you are visiting Tampa Bay, or even just a local wondering what else is going on in the city this month, visttampabay.com has a neat list of events that may pique your interest. They have divided the events into categories, including Sports & Recreation, Music & Concerts, Kid-Friendly Events, Fun & Adventure, Arts & Culture, and Dining & Nightlife. I've listed the remaining May 2023 events by date, starting with today, May 24th. Hopefully there are a few events you find interesting, and that you and your friends will love!

Memorial Day weekend is expected to bring record-breaking volume of traffic, so make sure to take that into account when planning your weekend. You can also expect beaches to be packed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A lot of kids are also starting their summer vacation this weekend so there are lots of reasons to celebrate.

Posie's Flower Truck at Hyde Park Village
If vintage Volskwagon trucks are your forte, and flowers make your day, Posie's Flower Truck at Hyde Park Village is a vibe you won't want to miss. From 12 to 3 every Wednesday, Posie's Flower Truck awaits you, with flowers for your special someone or for you as a self-care gift.

Live Music Thursdays at Zydeco Brew Works
Thursdays are for live music at Zydeco's! Every Thursday from 6-9, kick back and relax with your favorite draft beer, fresh food and live sounds from local artists.

Blast into Summer Group
You may bring the family on a fun and immersive trip to the Fairgrounds for scavenger hunts, mystery story solving, and art from over 70 local and international artists. This blast into the summer is only available from May 25th until May 29th, but you do receive $5 off of each ticket when you buy four or more tickets.

Free Parent Workshop Series
Clearwater Marine Aquarium is hosting a free parent workshop series which will focus on developmental milestones in speech, language, hearing, feeding and reading. The workshop is from 9-10:30 am for children birth to 5 years of age.

Pepe's Plight Immersive Coin Hunt
The Fairgrounds St. Pete is hosting a treasure hunt through the Mermaid Star Motel and more! The event is from 12-7:30 pm and and you and the fam will be able to learn about the Fairgrounds and St. Pete.

Reception and Artist Talk Finn Schult: Everything You've Ever Wanted
This exhibition of new work by visual artist, Finn Schult, will be on display from May 22nd-June 22nd, but on Thursday, the 24th he will be hosting artist talk at the HCC Ybor City Performing Arts Building from
5-8pm.

Live Music in Flor Fina
If local stand out musicians and DJs are your hype, then Flor Fina at Hotel Haya is an oasis just for you. Live Music in Flor Fina is from 8-11.

Tampa Dining Cruise
The Yacht Star Cruise is Tampa's premier dining cruise and cocktail experience. If you enjoy beers, cocktails or wine, they are all included with your cruise ticket as you enjoy the best views of Tampa. The cruise is family friendly welcoming children from two years of age and starts at 5:30 pm.

Big John at the Glazier Children's Museum
Big John, the World's Largest Triceratops, will give the kiddos something to "roar" about at Glazier Children's Museum in Downtown Tampa! All are welcome to visit this immersive and playful dinosaur exhibit from 9:30-5.

If you or one of your friends has a boat, head to John's Pass this weekend for a sandbar hangout.

Sunset Music Festival
The one we've all been waiting for! The Sunset Music Festival takes on Tampa, bringing the bass and the electricity in this two-day festival May 27th and May28th.

Brunch Buffet Cruise
If you thought the Tampa Dining Cruise was amazing, wait until you hear about the Brunch Buffet Cruise! ...Because who doesn't love Brunch AND a cruise?! This time, the Yacht Starship cruises from 12:30-2:30 pm, featuring $10 bottomless mimosas, skyline views and deck top dancing with a live DJ.
