Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love the food and just relaxing with my family. It seems like over the recent years, we’ve done the less traditional types of celebrations (i.e., we’ve gone out of town or dined at a restaurant.) We like to mix it up.

Here’s a chronological list of some of my favorite Thanksgiving memories.

  • 1. In 2016, I was four months pregnant.

We went to Tallahassee to visit my dad’s side of the family, and I remember being so happy to pig out on all the food because I was like, “I’m eating for two!”

  • 2. In 2017, I was so excited to be celebrating with my new baby.

    Thanksgiving

We were in Tallahassee once again, and my daughter was 7 months old.

  • 3. We also went to a Friendsgiving in 2017.

  • 4. In 2019, we spent a lot of time in the kitchen.

Here’s my two-and-a-half-year-old whipping up one of her favorite dishes.

  • 5. We went the untraditional route and got out of town with my sister and her hubby and kids.

    Thanksgiving

We stayed at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. Here is my daughter and her cousin playing with Mom’s make-up.

  • 6. This was the first year I'd ever eaten out at a restaurant for Thanksgiving.

    Thanksgiving

We ate at one of the Disney hotels. I forgot which one. (Pregnancy brain. I was literally about to pop. Almost nine months.)

  • 7. In 2021, we enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner out on the town.

It’s awesome to not have to do the dishes. Here we all are at Meat Market.
