Rich Fields was born and raised west of Cleveland in the town of Avon, Ohio. Rich and his family moved to Clearwater Beach in 1976 and he would later graduate from Clearwater High School. After high school Rich moved on to study broadcasting at the University of Florida, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. “I grew up listening to Q105 in Tampa. It’s the radio station that inspired me to get into broadcasting. To be able to return home to where it all started for me is a blessing. I thank Beasley Media Group for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to liven up Tampa Bay radio.” – Rich Fields

In addition to a storied radio career that stretches from Tampa to Los Angeles, Rich is probably best known for being the Announcer on The Price is Right (working with both Bob Barker and Drew Carey). Rich was hired by Mr. Barker in 2004, and was awarded “Best Game Show Announcer” by the Game Show Hall of Fame in 2009. Rich also holds the record for announcing “The most network televised game shows in a single season” (at 7 different show titles). Throughout his lifetime, Rich Fields has announced for nine different television game shows including: The Price is Right, Wheel Of Fortune, Family Feud, Press Your Luck, Let’s Make A Deal, Card Sharks, Match Game, Beat The Clock and the Florida Lottery’s Flamingo Fortune.

Rich Fields is also an Emmy Award winning Meteorologist. He completed his meteorology internship for MSU’s Broadcast Meteorology Program with Steve Jerve at WFLA-TV, Tampa in 2001. He was the Chief Meteorologist for CBS2 in Palm Springs, CA., and after moving on to Los Angeles, Rich became a highly rated night-time weather anchor for CBS News at KCBS & KCAL-TV for over six years.
