St. Petersburg Man Wins $2 Million From $10 Scratch-Off Ticket

A $10 scratch-off Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket sold in Pinellas County won a man a $2 million top prize. Which game was it?

64-year-old Danny Pierce of St. Petersburg won a $2 million top prize from a $10 scratch-off ticket. He won from a "$10 Monopoly Doubler" scratch-off game.

Pierce purchased the ticket at Blue Nile Food Market, 1600 18th Avenue South in St. Petersburg. He claimed his prize from the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee as a lump-sum of $1,597,848. The store will receive a $4,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The "$10 Monopoly Doubler" game had 8 $2 million top prizes, of which 2 still remain unclaimed. The game offers prizes ranging from $10 to $2 million.

2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Concert Series Lineup

This July, Disney's EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival returns for 2023. That also signals the return of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. Here's the lineup of artists for the 2023 season.

One of the most popular activities at EPCOT is eating and drinking. Each season, the International Food & Wine Festival expands its offerings with foods and drinks from around the world. This year, the event runs from July 27 to November 18, 2023. They also host a concert series at the American Pavilion on the America Gardens Theatre.

The concerts are free, but to get the best seating, you can get one of their dining packages. This is who you can go see in concert at EPCOT at the 2023 Eat to the Beat Concert Series:

July 28-29 – Orianthi

New to the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Orianthi is an Australian singer/guitarist.

July 30-31 – for KING & COUNTRY

Another new act at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series is for KING & COUNTRY, a Christian pop duo from Nashville.

Aug. 4-5 – Southern Avenue

A Memphis blues band, Southern Avenue formed in 2015.

Aug. 6-7 – Tiffany

The legendary Tiffany (that's how she was introduced in the past at Epcot...) still has it.

Aug. 11-12 – Ruben Studdard with Haley Reinhart

Ruben Studdard became a star in 2002 when he was named the winner of American Idol. Haley Reinhart placed third in the 10th season of American Idol.

Aug. 13-14 – TBA

Aug. 18-21 – Joey Fatone & Friends

Aug. 25-26 – Ayron Jones

Another new act for 2023 is Ayron Jones from Seattle. He hit #1 on the Billboard Rock Chart in 2020 with "Mercy".

Aug. 27-28 – Phillip Phillips

Another American Idol alum, Phillips was crowned champion in the 11th season.

Sept. 1-2 – Baha Men

Best known for "Who Let The Dogs Out," the Baha Men also had a hit with a cover of "Dancing in the Moonlight."

Sept. 3-4 – MercyMe

Contemporary Christian band MercyMe struck gold, or rather 5x platinum, with "I Can Only Imagine."

Sept. 8-9 – Ray Parker Jr.

Sept. 10-11 – TobyMac

Christian hip-hop/rock singer TobyMac has entertained EPCOT crowds before.

Sept. 16-17 – Raul Acosta and Oro Solido

Nov. 10-11 – Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

With a revival of swing a few years back, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has had feet moving at their live shows since 1989. The had one charting single, "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)," but every one of their songs can get you moving.

Nov. 12-13 – .38 Special

Roxanne is a co-host on the MJ Morning Show and host of Middays on Q105 in Tampa Bay. She also hosts segments on The Current, which features local feel-good stories and health and wellness segments, and airs on five of the six Tampa-based Beasley Media Group stations. Roxanne has conducted hundreds of interviews, from athletes to Oscar winners, including Matt Damon, Christian Bale, and Chadwick Boseman. She also specializes in media training, having worked with clients in the NFL, NBA and WWE for television, in print, and online. Roxanne is a published author and will be releasing a thriller novel in 2024. Her favorite thing in the world is being with her two daughters and husband.
