Slash Named Gibson Global Brand Ambassador
Slash is adding a new first to his career.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist has been named Gibson’s first-ever Global Brand Ambassador, which will allow him to represent the company around the world and help to develop new products for its Gibson, Gibson Custom and Epiphone brands.
In a statement Slash says that, “It’s an honor to be Gibson’s first Global Brand Ambassador. I’ve been working with Gibson since the early days of my professional career and playing Gibson guitars before that. I’m proud of the creative relationship we’ve developed over the years.”
Henry Juszkiewicz, Gibson’s chairman and brand CEO, added that, “Slash embodies the characteristics of creativity, passion and excellence that are so closely aligned with Gibson and we are very proud of the friendship and mutual success we have shared together for over 30 years. We are also very excited about the future products we will be announcing soon.”
Slash is currently on the road with the reunited Guns N’ Roses, which has dates booked into 2018.
