Keanu Reeves’ Last Moment Of ‘Bliss’ Was In Bed With His Girlfriend
Keanu Reeves attends the Los Angeles Premiere of Lionsgate's "John Wick: Chapter 4" at TCL Chinese Theatre on March 20, 2023 in Hollywood, California.
Keanu Reeves gushed about his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Grant this week, after years of keeping details of his love life out of the public eye. Reeves, 58, was asked by People magazine what his most recent “moment of bliss” was. The answer was something that didn’t even require him to get out of bed.
The John Wick: Chapter 4 star told the publication of his visual artist girlfriend, “We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.” Elsewhere in the interview, Reeves was asked when the last time he danced was. Though it was about eight months ago at a friend’s wedding, the actor admitted, “Sometimes I’m the first out there. And sometimes I need coaxing. Sometimes it’s the song and sometimes it’s the person. I just go with the feeling.”
As we previously reported, Grant, a 49-year-old artist met Reeves in 2009 at a dinner party. They quietly dated for years before going public with their relationship in 2019. Since then, the two have made several more public appearances. But they generally keep their private life out of the spotlight.
Alexandra’s longtime friend Jennifer Tilly said the couple even waited to tell their inner circle about the relationship. She explained that a couple of years ago, Grant told her, “‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What?’” Calling Keanu and Alexandra some “sort of the perfect couple,” the actress added, “I think everybody wishes that they had something like that. It’s not a razzle-dazzle Hollywood romance.”
Reeves and Grant worked on a 2011 book together called Ode to Happiness; he provided the text while Grant did the illustrations. They then released a second book called Shadows in 2016 and cofounded the publishing company X Artists’ Books the following year.
