2 Q105 80s Favorites Coming to Clearwater in 2025
Two of our favorite Q105 ’80s icons are coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in 2025. Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 10am for an acoustic show Thursday, February 27 featuring Rick Springfield and Richard Marx. If you’re a part of Ruth Eckerd’s eClub, watch for a presale opportunity this week.
This will be the first time the pair have performed together in Clearwater. Richard Marx is known for so many Q105 favorites like “Right Hear Waiting,” “Don’t Mean Nothing,” and “Hold On To the Nights.” Rick Springfield will perform acoustic versions of his big Q105 hits like “Jessie’s Girl” and “Affair of the Heart.”

Here’s a look at some other big shows featuring Q105 favorites coming to the area:
Tonight: Darryl Hall and Howard Jones
Hall and Oates isn’t a thing anymore, so Hall and Jones it is. The 80s hitmakers will play the BayCare Sound at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Howard Jones was excellent opening for Boy George in Tampa last summer so although we wish John Oates was on stage like old times, this is a cool pairing. [Tickets]
November 14: The Pointer Sisters and The Commodores
Lots of great Q105 hits like “I’m So Excited” and “Neutron Dance” from the Pointer Sisters and “Brickhouse” is one of our most requested songs on Q105. See them both at “An Evening of Icons – An Unforgettable Evening of Classic Hits” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. [Tickets]
November 17: Blues Traveler
They had a bunch of big Q105 hits in the 90s. See Blues Traveler at Jannus Live downtown St. Pete. [Tickets]
December 12: Debbie Gibson
I guess she gave up on that whole “please call me Deborah” thing. Debbie plays the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota. [Tickets]
December 14: Bret Michaels
Catch the Poison lead singer for a performance at The Sound at Coachman Park. It’s Bret’s Parti-Gras 2.0 Tour with Night Ranger and Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. [Tickets]

December 17: Cheap Trick
Don’t be cruel. Just surrender because I Want You To Want Me. See the hometown favorites at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. [Tickets]
January 11: Styx & Loverboy
Lots of big Q105 ’80s hits at this one like Renegade, Lady, and Come Sail Away from Styx and Working For The Weekend and Turn Me Loose from Loverboy. The bands play The Sound at Coachman Park in Clearwater. [Tickets]

March 12: ZZ Top
“That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century, delivering rock, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans. With iconography as distinctive as their sound, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards, hotrod cars, spinning guitars and that magic keychain. See them at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. [Tickets]
March 15: Foreigner
Yeah that farewell tour doesn’t seem to end, but who’s complaining? Joined by 38 Special, Foreigner is back again this time at Coachman Park in Clearwater. [Tickets]
