A number of albums that turn 35 in 2023 are among some of the biggest albums released in the ’80s, let alone 1988.

In 1988, Metallica, Bon Jovi and U2 continued to show their dominance with the release of major albums. The world was also introduced to Jane’s Addiction and Soundgarden via their debut albums. A number of other major artists released albums including R.E.M., AC/DC, Poison, Van Halen and more.
