It looks like it’s going to be a good summer for family movies! So many long awaited films are set to hit the big screen in the next few months. Whether it’s an action packed film like Thor: Love and Thunder or a classic animated series like Minions: The Rise Of Gru, we’ve got the list of all the family-friendly movies hitting theaters this summer.

Beat the heat and take out the family to catch any of these instant classics coming to theaters soon!

  • Jurassic World: Dominion

    Long awaited part three of the Jurassic World trilogy is set to hit the theaters on June 10. Catch the OG stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in the finale of this popular franchise.

  • Lightyear

    Yes it’s the Lightyear your thinking of, but it won’t be voiced by the classic Tim Allen, instead Chris Evans is filling the role. This origin story isn’t about the toy Buzz Lightyear, but rather the telling of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on.

  • Marcel The Shell With Shoes On

    This blast from 2010 is back and ready to make his big screen debut. Marcel The Shell is taking his You-Tube adventures to Hollywood in this mockumentary where he sets out on an adventure and tries to find the rest of his family. This story will be sure to have you laughing, crying and hugging each other by the end!

  • Minions: The Rise of Gru

    Another origin story for the family to love. This series of animated classic is set in the 70’s and explains how Gru and the minions became the unstoppable team that we know and love.

  • Thor: Love and Thunder

    Chris Hemsworth is back as the God of Thunder in Marvel Studio’s fourth Thor film. MCU fans will see a lot of familiar faces in this movie, including the Guardians of the Galaxy, as they help Thor defeat Gorr the God Butcher.

  • Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank

    Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ricky Gervais star in this cute film about a unlucky dog who gets samurai lessons from a honorable cat to defend his town.

    Release date: July 15

  • DC League of Super-Pets

    Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the voice of Superman’s dog, Krypto the Super-Dog. Krypto rounds up other super pets to save Superman and the rest of the Justice League after they’ve been kidnapped. This super cast includes: Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves.
