Florida Man Tries To Bring Grenade Launcher On Plane
Here’s your Florida story of the week – a man was arrested after trying to bring a military RPG launcher onto an airplane.
Police say a man from St. Augustine, FL tried to board a plane at a Pennsylvania airport when his checked bag set off an alarm. Inside, TSA agents found an unassembled “military-grade rocket-propelled grenade launcher” inside – including the grenade.
Turns out the weapon was just a replica, which the man thought it was perfectly legal. But while some replica weapons are allowed in checked luggage, the rule doesn’t apply to military-style weapons, which are banned in all instances.
Police consfiscated the fake launcher but allowed the man to continue on his flight without any further penalties.
