Meet Tank: St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue’s Cutest Member
The newest member of St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue is only about 3-months-old. And his name is Tank. Tank is a hound mix, and a rescued shelter pet.
Tank, along with his mother and siblings were thankfully rescued by Pet Pal in St. Petersburg, from a kill shelter. He was then adopted by Fire Rescue and is currently in training to be “the best puppy he can be”.
Tank will be taken out in the community to meet and greet folks. He is currently in training to be a therapy dog, and will be able to teach kids fire safety, such as things like “how to stop, drop and roll and crawl low under smoke”.
Tank’s first meet and greet event will be on July 16 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Postcard Inn. You can also find out more about Tank and his appearances at his very own email address: tank@stpetebeach.org.
