Florida High School Graduate To Play In The Super Bowl
Super Bowl LIV is almost here, and will be held right here in Florida this year at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. We are in fact just days away from the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers squaring off for the Lombardi Trophy (and the final game of the season).
What you may not know, is that a Florida high school grad will be playing in the big game this year. Raheem Mostert, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers, attended New Smyrna Beach High School, where he played football and also competed in track and field.
While in high school Raheem led New Smyrna Beach HS to two playoff berths. After his senior year, Raheem moved on to Purdue University. He participated in the 2010 Central Florida All-Star Game, where he was named MVP after hauling in three passes for nearly 100 yards and returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown. He also made an appearance in the Florida North vs. South football game.
Sounds petty impressive! So, if you don’t have a “dog in the fight” this year, then this may be a reason for you to pull for the 49’s to win. Just a thought!
And if that’s not enough incentive for you to watch the game this year, what about the half time show? This year’s show features two very hot and talented ladies, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
So, just to get you in the mood for the game, take a look below at a few photos of both Lopez and Shakira performing on-stage.
I think the halftime show alone is worth tuning in for.
The Super Bowl starts at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020. The game will be played in the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. May the best Florida graduate win. 🙂
