Hillsborough County Follows Pinellas In Issuing “Stay At Home” Policy and Curfew
As it was in Pinellas County this morning, the vote was unanimous this afternoon. A stay at home order goes into effect Friday night throughout Hillsborough County. They are finalizing the language according to Channel 8. The emergency policy group’s measure means non-essential workers should work from home. If that’s not possible and you must work on site, you must be in a space where you can keep six feet away from coworkers and customers.
A curfew will also be in place. That means travel is banned from 10pm to 5am Monday through Friday and throughout the weekend. Exceptions to that rule: if you’re out to get food, medicine, essential supplies, or if you’re heading to or from work.
The Hillsborough County Emergency Policy Group is made up of three county commissioners, the mayors of Plant City, Tampa, and Temple Terrace, the sheriff, and chairman of the school board.
