Tampa’s Mayor Warns Of Stimulus Check Scams
Tampa‘s Mayor, Jane Castor, has some tips on how to avoid getting scammed when it comes to the government stimulus check.
“Never from your personal information or credit card / bank account information to someone claiming to be part of a government entity — just hang up. Remember, you won’t have to do anything (except report your taxes if they haven’t been reported) to qualify for your stimulus check. There is a need to register or call the IRS”
