Pinellas County School Board Delays the Start of the School Year
Pinellas County joins other Florida counties in pushing back the start of their 2020-2021 school year.
The original start date was set for August 12th, but after a Pinellas County School Board meeting, they have decided to push that back two weeks. The new start date is Monday, August 24th.
This decision comes as cases in Florida continue to increase. Hillsborough County, Pasco County and Polk County have also voted to delay the start of the school year.
