Jason Momoa Supports Fellow Justice Leaguer Ray Fisher, Blasts Warner Bros.
In a fiery Instagram post on Monday, Jason Momoa, who played Aquaman in the 2017 Justice League film, stood by his castmate, Ray Fisher, who played Victor Stone, aka Cyborg. Fisher has made some harsh accusations towards Warner Brothers films in regard to what he has described as a toxic work environment on the reshoots for Justice League.
“THIS S— HAS TO STOP AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT @ray8fisher AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO EXPERIENCED WHAT HAPPEN UNDER THE WATCH OF @wbpictures NEEDS PROPER INVESTIGATION I just think it’s f—ed up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the s—-y way we were treated on Justice League reshoots. Fisher replied, “You already know bro!”
The “reshoots” that Momoa is referring to came after original Justice League director Zack Snyder stepped down after a family tragedy, and was replaced by Joss Whedon. (Snyder is currently working on an extended cut of the film that is set to air on the streaming service HBO MAX.)
The “fake Frosty announcement” that Momoa refers to is the reports that Momoa was in talks to star in a Frosty The Snowman project, which Justice League producers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns were attached to.

“A>E” is an abbreviation for “accountability over entertainment.”
On July 1, Fisher alleged that Joss Whedon was abusive on set and that producers Berg and Johns enabled that behavior (he hasn’t been specific his allegations). The reports of Momoa starring in the Frosty The Snowman project hit less than 90 minutes after Fisher made his allegations on Twitter.
Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, WarnerMedia said last month it was investigating Fisher’s claims, but on Sept. 4, they released a statement claiming Fisher was not cooperating with the investigation. Fisher quickly denied this with a statement of his own.

After speaking out about Justice League, I received a phone call from the President of DC Films wherein he attempted to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns.

Earlier today, Fisher tweeted that Warner’s announcement on August 20 that Ben Affleck would play Batman again in the upcoming Flash film was a way to take attention away from Fisher’s tweets about the “toxic and abusive work environment created during the Justice League reshoots.”
Unfortunately, the fake Frosty news with Jason wasn’t the only PR tactic used to distract from the seriousness of the JL situation.

The other stars of Justice League have yet to comment. Momoa is set to star in Warner’s second Aquaman film, which is due in 2022. Whedon has been at the center of other controversies; his ex-wife wrote a blistering op-ed in 2017 calling him a “hypocrite preaching feminist ideals,” and discussed noted that Whedon admitted to her that “he hid multiple affairs and a number of inappropriate emotional ones that he had with his actresses, co-workers, fans and friends,” during their marriage.
