Howard Frankland Bridge Pedestrian Walkway
You’ve seen the construction on the Howard Frankland Bridge, but have you seen what FDOT is planning? The Florida Department of Transportation is building the largest bridge ever constructed in Florida. The new bridge will be built north of the current southbound lanes and feature all-new north and southbound lanes, express lanes, a walking/bike path, plus, accommodations for transportation like a light rail system.
FDOT wants to know what design you think looks best for the new pedestrian bridge, the Modern Marconi Sail or the Classic Schooner Sail. You can vote at www.tampabaynext.com/HFBvote/
Construction should be complete in 2026. Would you use a pedestrian walkway on the bridge?
