One of the best parts about living in the Sunshine State is the sunny skies and nice weather year-round so finding outdoor activities is easy. Playing Disc Golf is a great way to get in some exercise and spend some time outdoors so here are 5 of the best disc golf courses in Tampa Bay.

We know, the summer can get a bit hot around here, but the good thing about the disc golf courses in Tampa Bay is that many of them are shaded with plenty of trees. 

Known for being one of the top disc golf courses in Tampa Bay, Cliff Stephens Park Disc Golf Course is a great option. This disc golf course in Clearwater, Florida has 24 holes, concrete tees, bathrooms, and drinking fountains. 

One disc golf player said, “Pretty park with fun shots. Lots of water shots, which I love! Highly recommend.” It is rated a 4.6 out of 5 for upkeep, 4.5 for shot design 4.6 for scenery and views, and 4.3 for signage/wayfinding. There is a disclaimer about a man being attacked by a gator while retrieving his disc from the water, so you might want to think twice before hopping in the water.

John S Taylor Park Disc Golf Course in Largo, Florida runs on the outskirts of the lake and is completely covered in shade. Yeah, someone got eaten by a gator diving for discs in the lake, but you’re not supposed to swim in there anyway. This course has 18 holes, restrooms available, and drinking fountains. 

Next Up, we have the Picnic Island Disc Golf Course in Tampa. This is an 18-hole course with concrete tees. This disc golf course runs through the public park and has a mix of holes along the bay and through the woods. The best part? There are public bathrooms and dogs are allowed.

Another great option is the Cypress Point Park Disc Golf Course in Tampa. Cypress Point Park is one of the favorites for disc golf courses in Tampa Bay. They have 18 holes and concrete tees that run through a nice bit of woodlands.

  • TopGolf

    We know this one is partially outside, but TopGolf’s bays are meant to be enjoyed during all kinds of weather. The playing areas are surrounded with fans and if it gets too hot for you, cool off inside at the bar. Head there on a Tuesday and pay half price for gameplay.   • Painting With A Twist
