St. Pete Restaurants & Affordability Makes It Best Place To Eat In The U.S.
St. Pete already has some of the best beaches in the country. The city also has a great nightlife, art, museums, the Tampa Bay Rays and the Rowdies. But now St. Pete can add something else to their trophy shelf. The city was named best place to eat in the U.S. for foodies.
According to InsureMyTrip’s new study that came out last month. They went to some of the most populous cities in the country and rated restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. Then gave the cities a score of one through 10, with 10 being the highest. Another Florida city made the top 10, Cape Coral rounded out the top 10 best places to eat in the country.
One of the reasons St. Pete restaurants and bakeries ranked so high for best places to eat in the country is the affordability! According to the study, the average cost of a three-course meal is about $57.50. The other top 3 cities ranged at about $70-80.
It’s not just this study that confirms how great the food is at St. Pete restaurants. Locals on reddit have also been pointing out that there are plenty of Michelin star worthy restaurants in the St. Pete area. Even though Tampa gets all the fine-dining love.

When the scores were tallied up, St. Pete finished #1 with an overall score of 7.16. The Burg’s ratings were some of the best when it comes to cafes and restaurants. Their cafés have an average rating of 4.52 and restaurants have an average of 4.41, demonstrating the high quality of service. You can see the full list of rankings at InsureMyTrip. Another thing that helped St. Pete with the #1 ranking was the location. Being on the water helps bring in some of the freshest seafood.
