Travis Kelce’s PR Firm Responds To Viral Taylor Swift Breakup Contract
Rumors are swirling that the relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift might have been planned from the start. These rumors gained traction after an alleged contract, specifying the exact date of their breakup, began circulating online.
A document from Full Scope PR, a Los Angeles-based firm, started making rounds on social media, initially appearing on Reddit. The document listed a set breakup date of September 28 for Kelce and Swift and outlined a strategy to manage the reaction, advising to “let the initial media frenzy settle and ensure clarity.”
However, a spokesperson from Full Scope told The Daily Mail that the document is “entirely false and fabricated and was not created, issued, or authorized by this agency.” The firm added, “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.”
The document in question outlined three key messages: “Respect and Privacy,” “Professional Focus,” and “Personal Growth.” It included a sample public statement, reading: “Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.” The statement was allegedly intended to be sent to major outlets “to ensure broad coverage.”
The “Respect and Privacy” section emphasized that the breakup was a mutual decision made with respect for each other’s personal lives. In terms of “Personal Growth,” the PR firm allegedly suggested framing the split as “a natural part of life and an opportunity for personal evolution,” with a focus on how Kelce is concentrating on “personal development, self-improvement, and resilience.”
Another section of the document reportedly outlined plans for media interviews with various sports and lifestyle outlets, with a focus on “Kelce’s recent sports achievements and future goals,” while also emphasizing “his respect for Taylor Swift and the mutual decision to part ways.”
This whole situation is really reminding me of Prime Video’s Flack, the TV series about a publicist working for a PR firm that represents celebrities, constantly working to keep their lives looking perfect, even when they’re making terrible decisions. The show even covers PR-created relationships, which has me questioning everything surrounding “Swelcie.”
Kelce and Swift publicly confirmed their relationship in September 2023, with Swift attending her first of many Chiefs games in Kansas City. Since then, they have been frequently seen together, from Swift traveling from a tour date in Japan to Las Vegas to watch Kelce win the Super Bowl, to Kelce attending several of Swift’s concerts during the offseason.
As the Chiefs prepare to kick off their 2024 NFL regular season on Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens, the spotlight remains on Kelce. Not just for his performance on the field, but also for the rumors surrounding his personal life.
