Bradenton Restaurant Chain Named Best Place To Work
It can be difficult to find a workplace that you love. In a time where people seem to constantly be complaining about their jobs, a Bradenton restaurant chain has been named as America’s most loved workplace in 2024. Newsweek’s annual list of America’s Most Loved Workplaces for 2024 has just come out. Surprisingly, it’s not Publix, but a breakfast chain that is very popular in the Tampa Bay area.
The list comes from surveys from more than 2.6-million U.S. employees. Additionally, interviews with hundreds of company officials are also included. Newsweek asked the questions in five main areas: the level of collaboration at the company, how positive workers are about their future at the company, how much employer values align with employee values, respect at all levels and career achievement.
Which Florida Restaurant Chain Is America’s Most Loved Workplace?
You may have heard of this chain before, there are multiple locations in Tampa Bay. They’re known for their “healthier options” and the million dollar bacon. Yup, you guessed it. One of America’s most loved workplaces is First Watch.
First Watch is known to have a great relationship with their employees and offers a work-life balance. They offer unique benefits like comprehensive programs for backup childcare and eldercare which helps employees feel supported. Even the CEO is invested and is always looking to improve,. According to newsweek, the CEO-hosted “Why” Tours, ensure employee voices are heard and valued, leading to ongoing improvements in the work environment.
There are 535 First Watch locations in 29 states. First Watch’s first restaurant was in Pacific Grove, California. The headquarters of the Bradenton restaurant moved to to the city in 1986. First Watch has a variety of breakfast items marketed as being healthier than other breakfast chains.
On their website they explain what the name “First Watch” means. “Since the majority of our customers are not sailors, pirates or sea-farin’ scallywags, we seem to get this question a lot. A ‘first watch’ is a nautical term that refers to the very first shift of the day. And if you ask us, it’s the best shift of the day. That’s because come the crack of dawn, we’re slicing and juicing fresh fruit and vegetables and whipping up our French toast batter from scratch, just for you.”
