5 Tampa Area Concerts & Events With Tickets Under $50
Thinking about concert tickets as you do your Christmas shopping? It’s tough to find event tickets for concerts, sporting events or comedy shows with tickets under $50, but they are out there if you look hard enough. Or I can do the work for you.
$50 or Less Shows Before Christmas
These two tips probably won’t be much help to you since they’re before Christmas, but both are worth considering. This Saturday night (December 14), Bret Michaels from Poison brings his Parti Gras tour to Coachman Park in Clearwater. Bret always is a crowd pleaser. You can be sure he’ll bust out all those Poison Q105 hits like “Nothin’ But a Good Time,” “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” and “Unskinny Bop.”
The show at The BayCare Sound also features Dee Snider from Twisted Sister and Night Ranger. Tickets in the 200 level seats are just under that $50 threshold… $49.50. Sure, like all of these tickets, the fees and taxes will nudge the price above $50. But we’re going on base ticket price for this list.
Another show coming up this weekend is our annual Q105 concert with Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Amalie Arena. It’s an all new show this year and it’s also a fundraiser for Mason Dixon’s Q105 Christmas Wish. Yet tickets are still very reasonable. The seats under $50 are up in the 300 level along the sides of Amalie Arena. I’d suggest grabbing some of those seats in Section 301.
$50 Or Less Tickets For After Christmas
OK, if you’re thinking about holiday gifts, those shows before December 25 probably aren’t going to be helpful so here are some tickets under $50 for events, concerts and shows in 2025.
Here’s the secret to getting into Tampa Bay Lightning games cheap. Go during a midweek game when they’re playing a team that isn’t from the east coast. Weekend games or games when the Bolts are playing teams like the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens or Florida Panthers tend to push ticket prices way up. But I found tickets to the Lightning game at Amalie Arena coming up on January 16 against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. There are tickets up in the 300 level starting at $39.25.
If you’re shopping for a fellow Q105 listener, you can beat this duo. Richard Marx and Rick Springfield are coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. The bummer about this show is that it’s an acoustic concert. That’s great for Richard Marx’s hits. But Rick can really rock in concert. But you can find tickets for under $50 for this one.
This last one is a great gift for anyone. Jim Gaffigan cracks me up. His comedy is family friendly but super witty and always funny. He plays Amalie Arena January 4 so this makes a great Christmas gift and yep, tickets start under $50.
