We went on Friday night. It's been open for a since the first week of October, so I was excited to finally check it out. The views are amazing. It's on the 27th floor of the JW Marriot on Water Street in downtown Tampa. I'd been to the downstairs bar before after a comedy show. They make great drinks there. One, in particular, is a tequila drink with carrot juice. Sounds crazy but it was delicious.
We sat inside in a loungy-couch area. I loved the vibe and the music, but what impressed we most was the delicious food. We'll get to that in a moment, but I also must mention that Beacon is the second highest rooftop bar in the Sunshine state.
I love the choices on the menu. Charcuterie is my favorite and they have a unique wide variety of small plates to share, if you'd like. The creator of the menu is Chef Roy Bryant.
First, I tried the Pomme Pave. It's made with crispy potato with crème fraiche, chives, and shaved truffle, plus caviar. Next, I tried the sticky buns. I do believe these were my absolute favorite. They were filled with pork belly, pickled daikon & carrots, hoisin vinaigrette, and Thai chili.
I would imagine you will love the food and drinks at Beacon. You can check out some pictures of the gorgeous view and the delicious food. Another one of my favorites was the ricotta with avocado mousse.

Take in the gorgeous views of Downtown Tampa.

And the weather always feels particularly nice 27 stories high.
This doesn't seem like the Tampa I grew up in.
Wow! This Pomme Pave dish is a must.

I could've ordered ten.
This was my favorite item on the menu.

I like Steamed Buns and I cannot lie.

Um, you had me at avocado mousse.

Picture lemon buffalo ricotta, marinated tomatoes, and avocado mousse.
Like nothing I've ever tasted.
Big city, bright lights.

And now you can see it all atop the JW Marriott.
