Busch Gardens

Thanks to Busch Gardens for inviting us over to see Christmas Town. You’ve got plenty of time to check it out – they’ll keep it going through the first week of January.

Thanks to Busch Gardens for inviting us out to see the lights and try the new sweets at Christmas Town for 2023, running now through the first week in January. Christmas Town is included with your park admission. It's not a separately ticketed event like Howl-o-Scream. And for those who love to visit when the Florida sun isn't intense, nights like last night were perfect - the park was open until 10pm.

Let it snow... please.

Snowmen don't fare well in Florida heat and humidity. This one's a trooper.

The Old Gwazi

Cool to see it lit up in red and green.

Meeting a princess

IMG_8710.jpg

The little princess in our group loved meeting another. Great set designs this year!

Cinnamon roll...

IMG_8681.jpg

Lots of sweet festive foods to choose from. You can buy menu items individually or a ticket to try 5 things for $45.

Lights

Lights everywhere... the Busch Gardens team really did it big this year.

Santa's Helpers

IMG_8666.jpgGeno / Q105

I have to give extra props to the crew working at Santa's House. They went way above and beyond to make the experience special for the kids. While Santa was busy talking with other little ones, his helpers played games and pointed out magical things in Santa's crib.

Ready to see the big man?

IMG_8668.jpgGeno / Q105

Santa's helpers were absolutely incredible. You take a short tour of Santa's house before you slowly push the door open and...

Chillin' with the Claus

IMG_8673.jpgGeno / Q105

Santa took the time to make the moment special... his house was perfectly decorated.

Rudolph!

IMG_8675.jpgGeno / Q105

I can attest... the nose was red. You could even say it glows.

Snow in Tampa

IMG_8677.jpgGeno / Q105

Not something you see often.

Dasher's Picks

IMG_8686-e1699822128438.jpgGeno / Q105

Pork loin with apple sound good?

Chocolate Chip fan?

IMG_8680.jpg

Anything chocolate chip, I'm in. This was good.

Snickerdoodle, Ice Cream AND Apple?

IMG_8690.jpgGeno / Q105

I'm way in... those are two of my favorite dessert components.

No idea what this was.

IMG_8694.jpgGeno / Q105

I just don't remember. But it looks festive.

Color everywhere

IMG_8703.jpgGeno / Q105

Probably the closest thing to snowflakes we'll see in Florida this season.

A Fluffernutter Malt!?

IMG_8687.jpgGeno / Q105

Most Floridians don't even know what a Fluffernutter is. This was a total surprise. I didn't get a chance to try it, but if you love peanut butter and marshmallow, this sounds good.

White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel

IMG_8716.jpg

Really should have tried this but I didn't have any room left.

Lots of fun for the grown ups

IMG_8718-e1699821838742.jpgGeno / Q105

It's not all about the kids - there are plenty of drinks for the big kids to make the night merry.

Savory stuff

IMG_8719.jpg

There's a lot of choices for those with a sweet tooth but plenty if you don't. The braised beef with smoked gouda mac & cheese was my pick.

Gingerbread anything, I'm in.

IMG_8698.jpgGeno / Q105

The egg nog custard was a nice filling.

Pumpkin Spice fans

IMG_8700.jpgGeno / Q105

I'm not a pumpkin spice guy but if you are, they've got you covered.

Love apple anything...

IMG_8701.jpgGeno / Q105

I should've gone with this one. I grabbed the gingerbread cupcake... but after looking at the ingredients, I need to go back.
