Tripadvisor’s “Travelers’ Choice” lists are put together based on reviews over the past year. They created these lists for the “Best of the Best” beaches, things-to-do, destinations, restaurants and hotels. They’ve started off by releasing their first list of 2023.

In the first of Tripadvisor's new lists for the new year, a Tampa Bay area town made the top 5. The list is the top "Trending Destinations" in the United States as chosen by travelers. These include some of the not-so-familiar places that are becoming popular travel destinations.
Here are the top 10 U.S. "Trending Destinations" from Tripadvisor.com's "Travelers' Choice" for 2023.
5. Tierra Verde, Florida
A great place to watch sunsets, Tierra Verde is the gateway to Ft. De Soto Park.
4. Sonoma, California
Wine country! Set just north of San Francisco, it was recently named 'Best Small Town to Visit in the USA'.
3. Salem, Massachusetts
Yes, the one with the witches... You can still visit and learn about the victims of the 1692 witch trials.
2. Page, Arizona
Set on Lake Powell, it wasn't officially a town until 1975. It's also adjacent to Navaho land.
1. Juneau, Alaska
There are plenty of adventures to be found in Juneau. You can see the mountains and glaciers from the air. At sea. you can go whale-watching. Stay on the ground and go hiking along Juneau's 250 miles of hiking trails.
