Are you looking for things-to-do for Spring Break? Here’s a list of things that are available around the Tampa Bay area for the entire family.

There are so many things to do in Florida. This list contains a few ideas that may or may not have come to mind while planning Spring Break.

• The Beaches

  This is the automatic go-to for Spring Break. However, there’s the issue with red tide in the Tampa Bay area.

  You can find some beach days when the breeze is blowing westward toward the Gulf of Mexico. That means the activities on the coast won’t be affected quite so much by the toxins in the water.

• Tampa Bay Area Theme Parks, Zoos and More

  In Tampa, we have Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa and the Museum of Science and Industry. Across the bay, you’ll find Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary in Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks.

• Beyond The Immediate Tampa Bay Area

  Feel like a road trip? Check out Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Dinosaur World in Plant City, Giraffe Ranch in Dade City or Safari Wilderness Ranch in Lakeland.

  Of course, Florida has many theme parks just a day trip away. The Walt Disney World theme parks, the Universal Studios theme parks, SeaWorld, Legoland, Peppa Pig and Gatorland are some of the most popular.

  Also new to the area is PopStroke, a mini-golf course that goes beyond the normal ‘putt-putt’ type course.

• Lesser Known But Still Popular Florida Attractions

  Here are some other attractions that may not pop into your head when you’re thinking of things-to-do. This includes:

  • Wat Mongkolratanaram Thai Temple where you can find a Sunday market for amazing foods.

  • The John and Mable Ringling Museum in Sarasota

  • Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach

  • Weeki Wachee Springs State Park
